| Generally it is best to access online training from within Q by selecting Help : Online Training |
Although Q contains various tools for creating and manipulating data files, sometimes there are better alternatives to using these tools. In particular:
- It is usually a bad idea to do a lot of work and then save it by creating a new data file using Tools > Save Data as SPSS/CSV File, as once this is done all the tools in Q that allow users to audit and Updating and Automation will no longer be applicable if the new data files is imported.
 - Stacking is sometimes unnecesary because Q has inbuilt Question Types designed for looped data structures (e.g., Pick Any - Grid, Pick One - Multi and Number - Grid).
